We have analyzed the performance patterns of the Autoliv PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system based on Dassault Systèmes' ENOVIA, to help optimize the stability and performance of some of its key functions.
By analyzing the behavior of the systems from a top-down and a bottom-up perspective simultaneously, using tools to inspect both the Oracle database layer, and the JVM application logic layer, we were able to quickly identify root causes of issues across layers.
This workshop we have been performing at Autoliv on a regular basis as some sort of yearly health check.
